Residents have a voice. Ostrołęka invites you to co-create a new center

Public consultations are being launched in Ostrołęka, which may have a real impact on what the space for young people in the city will look like. On the basis of Ordinance No. 87/2026 of the Mayor of the City, residents have been invited to participate in the process of creating the program offer of the Center for Youth Initiatives, which will be established as part of the Polish-Swiss Urban Development Program.

Although the project is aimed primarily at young people, every resident can take part in the consultations. This is important because this space is to serve not only young people, but also the entire local community – as a place of integration, support and development.

The city authorities want to learn about the ideas, needs and expectations of residents regarding the functioning of the center. It is not only about proposals for activities or events, but also about the vision of the space itself and its role in the life of the city. Among the fields under consideration are artistic workshops, sports activities, cultural events, as well as the creation of modern spaces, such as a recording studio, a rehearsal room or a relaxation zone. Educational and development activities are also to be an important element, which will help young people acquire new skills and build social competences.

The consultations began on 17 April 2026. During this time, residents can share their opinions in various ways – both during meetings and via forms available online and in traditional form. Thanks to this, everyone, regardless of age or time availability, has the opportunity to join this process.

This is not just a formality, but a real chance to co-create a place that can become an important point on the map of Ostrołęka. The Center for Youth Initiatives has the potential to become a space of inspiration, activity and building interpersonal relationships – provided that it is created with the participation of residents.

If you have an idea, experience or simply want to have an impact on the development of your city, this is a good time to get involved. It is worth taking advantage of this opportunity and co-creating a space that will respond to the real needs of the local community.
